*Narrowing down to steets of New York City. Tall buildings & loads of street signs to keep the heavy traffic flow smoothly.

*Concept is base on just 1 pole filled with signs and directions. Fonts will maintain sign board standard for readability except for highlighted words.

*Will try to make it 3D if possible -.-

Definition and analysis goal

Anakku  was the worst product I’ve chosen. But  it’s a challenge for me since I have totally no interest in babies what so ever. Anakku target audience are mainly new mothers/parents selling different range of baby products from baby travel kit to daily baby care. Did quite a few research on the possible competitors around with my client. Content wise its pretty rich to me compare to most sites but the only thing is how the designer plays around with the color tones and contrasts is particularly bad for me. And not just that, I’m going to rearrange some content layouts, change the mode but still maintaining the cute light blue-ish baby like mode and some flash elements to banners and headlines and main page. Last but not least the attracting graphics.

 

 

 

Client’s analysis

Anakku celebrated their 30th anniversary on the year 2003. "Anakku" is a name synonymous with every parent's pride and joy and is defined simply as “My Child “. It is a home-grown brand that has become so widely accepted it is now a household name. Anakku is also committed to provide the best baby-care products. Anakku understood that caring for a baby is more than merely having comfortable and lasting attire. With the expansion of the company it also ventured to include a more comprehensive product range by introducing fashion-wear for babies and toddlers, feeding equipment, toiletries, diapers, accessories, strollers, playpens and more. As anakku grew from strength to strength, it realized the need to exceed expectations by featuring a one-stop baby center. Anakku baby connection was thus established, a chain of anakku boutiques that showcases its full range of products.

 

 

 

Short and long term site goals

For this I would again emphasize on the few major problems of the pages which includes the color, content layout and the graphics. Content layout is very important because it will be easy to update the site and also considering the user’s convenient. Business would definitely increase because the power of visual attraction that attracts more people to visit the site, more clicks which also means more potential customer which also means BUSINESS. 

 

 

 

Target Audience

I think it is very clear of 100% new parents. The site makes it very convenient for buyers to order at home or even at work. And also with the amount of information for new mothers are very effectively for them to be hook onto the site therefore the site must not be boring.

Sumarry :

(a) Irritating song keeps repeating over and over AND OVER AGAIN.

    (in need of an audio navigation to play pause and stop or mute)

(b) In my own opinion I think the products are a little too much or maybe not.

(c) Good notifier on top that allows the user to know which specific page & category their at ( + point )

(d) Good informations provided for new moms.

(e) Overall informative system are just enough and not too many.

(f) A lot to improve on design ground to attract attention and to allow users to interact a little.

Analysis :

- Uhh.. 5 times better visuals comparing anakku ? And being a local brand as well ? =.=

- Content wise it is almost the same, just better layouts, better graphics, better colour management that makes it more fun and eye catching hence it attracts attention and allows the user to hang on to this site longer.

 

Mamy Poko :

 

 - Mamy Poko has a slight similar approach with Huggies too, with the baby like illustrations and designs and as well as the colour that plays an important role of showing the sweet and softness of baby.. baby products etc.

- Content wise are also as rich and full with informations for new parents out there.

 

Baby Earth :

 

- Baby Earth brand is from the States and the product range with malaysia are totally different.

- A feel of green contrast to relate it to their brand name is a good start. It makes it very professional but at the same time selling baby products. Proper layouts and rich with content and information as well.

 

Baby Star :

 

- Baby Star is also from the States and has a more professional feel to the site as to the content AND product.

- User friendly and also funky font style on their brand name. Design wise, very clean and nicely done.

Ello there people, beloved lecturers and tutors,

    I have a sudden thought in mind, or more of a scare that I don't know how to manage my file size. For example jpg images which CANNOT be edited... AI graphics with drop shadows... or how to manage AI file size before importing into Flash... Photoshop graphics.. jpg images from photoshop... I'll be honest, I have no clue on how does it or GOING to work. So I hope there is some pro out there that could give me some advise on this little problem of mine.

Base on the 2nd project brief, group 1 had proposed wonderful and creative ideas. Some are really humorous too like Mr.Eric that came out with his spontaneous catastrophe of waking up in a world of durians... which is also the fruit he hates the most.

As for my sharing here, is also spontaneously popped out from my head. And that title would be... either ' a tragic of swapping place/soul with your mom OR a tragic of swapping place with your dad ' HAHHAHAHAHAHA... I know it might sound stupid or something, but I had more.. like.. waking up 1 day and suddenly your being a science professor...or.. waking up 1 day being HAZMER himself and you have to teach ACTIONSCRIPT in class and to be EXACTLY like him and stuff... or even being an animal etc. Hahahahaha... I know it sounds crazy... But... It's my idea. It all... started and inspired by... these few movies below ^^

From these movies above, they all have to learn how to survive on both of their behalf. As for project 2 and base on my title I'll be creating a intro like story, then only comes the communicative guide to survive the particular tragic. Art directions... navigations and flow charts will be updated soon. Thank you ^^
